Celebrating a year of success at Moulton College

Friday 1 July 2022

This past week has been all about celebrating the successes of our students and staff during the past academic year.

On Friday 24 June we recognised the hard work of the incredible Moulton team by hosting our annual staff development and wellbeing day.

The event started with a review of a very successful year by Principal and CEO Corrie Harris and she also spoke about the opportunities for the future. Our Vice Principal Faye Williams, then highlighted some incredible achievements including, 2 good Ofted grades and some phenomenal academic and vocational results for our students.

The celebrations continued with individual and team awards being presented to staff who had gone above and beyond and who had been inspirational in support of our students.

The day was rounded off by a variety of activities and sporting events to support our staff wellbeing ethos, including football, rounders, yoga, and long walks in the Moulton College countryside.

On Tuesday 28 June it was the turn of our Student Award ceremony.

Over 80 students, staff and family members came together to recognise those students who had excelled in their studies this year. In addition to subject awards which were presented by respective ‘Heads of School’ there were also three overall Student of the Year Awards.

Charles Matts, Vice-chair of the Governing Body ended the evening by giving praise to those who had supported each and every one of our students to help them reach their goals. He said ‘everyone receiving an award should be incredibly proud of their achievements’.

Corrie Harris, Principal & CEO said: “At the end of another academic year it is right that we take the time to reflect on the achievements of our students and staff and celebrate the incredible work that has been done to help these young people achieve their full potential. I could not be more proud to work in Further Education.”
