Lambing Sunday at Moulton College, a huge success

Thursday 13 March 2025

It was another successful year for Moulton College’s Lambing Sunday event, which took place on 9 March. With all tickets sold out, the event welcomed families and friends to experience the joys of lambing season firsthand.

The event aimed to offer an engaging experience for guests of all ages. The highlight of the event was live lambing, where visitors experienced the hard work from both Moulton College staff and ewes!

In addition to the live lambing, the event offered the chance to feed orphan lambs who were needing extra care and attention. The hands-on experience of bottle feeding lambs provided a special moment for many plus an opportunity for some lovely photographs.

The success of Lambing Sunday was evident in the smiles and comments from guests.

The event was a huge success and it’s great to welcome members of the public onto the farm to show them what we get up to at this time of year.

Jack Marlow, Farm Manager

The event not only provided an enjoyable day out but also an educational platform, teaching visitors about the importance of animal care and the dedication of farmers during lambing season.

The farm will also be taking part in the national Open Farm Sunday event on Sunday 8 June 2025. More information to follow in the future.
