The Marketing and School Liaison team at Moulton College have been recognised with a prestigious Silver FE First Award for their sustainable marketing programme.
In line with the College's key strategic aim to work towards a Net Zero operation, the team set themselves the challenge to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of their marketing campaigns during the year.
A number of initiatives were identified as drivers of carbon within the team's operations and each of these was reviewed and re-evaluated with a view to bringing down environmental aspect with no impact upon effectiveness.
Results included:
- Saving of over 1 tonne of carbon through a new full-time prospectus design concept
- Switch over to sustainable promotional items including seed-based stationery and pens made from recycled products
- Move to online digital information as an alternative to printed materials
- Reducing the size of printed materials and using recycled paper stock
We are delighted to have been recognised with this award from the College Marketing Network and are proud of the progress we have made in achieving a more sustainable approach to marketing. We are still very much at the start of this journey and will continue to work towards minimising our environmental impact as much as possible.
