Moulton College has been shortlisted for the High Growth Business of the Year category at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Northamptonshire Business Awards.

Representatives from the College will join a host of nominees at the award ceremony, which is set to take place on Friday 22 November at the Aviator Hotel, Sywell.

Sponsored by local automotive aftermarket firm Mannol, the High Growth Business of the Year award recognises local employers that have experienced exceptional growth while investing in the skills and training of staff.

It follows the Department of Education’s decision last month to withdraw the College’s financial notice to improve (FTNI) after a significant turnaround in its finances and student offering.

Since being awarded ‘Good’ status by Ofsted in December 2021, Moulton College has reintroduced apprenticeships to its curriculum and has firmed up its range of qualifications in agriculture, sport, animal welfare, equine, food and drink, and construction.

Moulton College Principal and CEO, Oliver Symons, says: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for a Northamptonshire Business Award. Moulton College plays a key role in the local community for students, staff, and employers and we are continually investing in both our teaching and our facilities.

“Our team strives to ensure our provision is high-quality, broad, and engaging for our learners and can support local businesses with work-ready future employees able to fill much-needed skills gaps. Our efforts have been recognised with both the award nomination and a steady growth in student numbers, with this year’s enrolment figures increasing by more than a third since 2020”.
