Moulton College to accept Centre Assessed Grades for GCSEs and A-Levels

Monday 17 August 2020

Important information for Year 11 and Year 13 students

In light of the uncertainties around student results for A-Levels and, potentially, for GCSEs, Moulton College recognises the need to provide as much certainty as possible for our students, both existing and future.

We are determined that no student will be disadvantaged by what has happened this year and we also recognise the value of teacher based assessments. Therefore, we will honour all offers already made to study at Moulton, based on teacher or Centre Assessed Grades (CAGs). If your awarded grades do not meet the entry requirements of your course we will consider your Centre Assessed Grades as an alternative, whilst also ensuring that every student is able to join the right course from this September. This will apply to students wishing to study at Further or Higher Education level who would have sat their examinations this summer.

If you need advice on the range of courses we offer, please take a look at our website www.moulton.ac.uk or contact us on 01604 491131.

Note: If you do not achieve a grade 4 or above in English or maths in your awarded grades you may still be required to resit these exams next year, studying alongside your main study programme.
