Dean started at Moulton back in 2011 and his role has changed somewhat throughout the past ten years...
I started working at Moulton in 2011 as an Animal Welfare Centre Technician, coming out of the pet industry. I then took on the role of Senior Technician in 2017 with additional responsibilities for standardisation of the centres, supporting the technician team and coordinating commercial experience. In Autumn 2020 I was appointed as the Animal Welfare Centre Manager and am now responsible for the running of the centres and line management of the team.
Working at Moulton College allows me to aid the future of the industry that I am proud of; animal care and the conservation of biodiversity is a huge passion of mine and is something I enjoy to help others develop. The conservation of species is incredibly important, and by helping students to develop practical skills they will need for their future careers we are aiding in this conservation. For me, to help students achieve their passions and meet the high standards of industry, whilst maintaining an exciting and relevant animal collection, is something that makes me proud to work at Moulton College.
