Mel is our HE subject lead and joined us in March 2008, she specialises in conservation land-management and sustainable agriculture however her most recent focus has been supporting students in work based learning, industry linked projects, developing research skills and outdoor education.
She is a member of the HEA Fellowship and has contributed to a number of publications including:
MSc(Agric.) Thesis: “Re-vegetation dynamics of land cleared of Acacia mearnsii (black wattle)”
A number of poster presentations at annual Grassland Society of southern Africa and 7th International Rangeland Congress between 1998 and 2008.
Mel is interested in Wildlife conservation, agro-ecology and spending time outdoors.
