This is an exciting opportunity to combine your Business Studies qualification with membership of our prestigious Rugby Academy, partnered with the Northampton Saints Rugby Academy.
Your timetable will be set up to enable you to train and play rugby within the Academy, benefiting from the coaching and support from our experienced coaching team whilst achieving your Level 3 qualification in Business.
Business students will learn about the business environment, financial operations and customer care.
You will get to grips with management analysis, finance, and performance within a business environment. This will further your understanding of the needs of stakeholders.
Throughout this course you will improve your communication skills across both spoken and written formats. Additionally you will learn about the marketing and sales of products and services.
You'll also improve your leadership skills by project managing an allocating tasks to meet deadlines.
Additional enrichment activities include, producing your own campaigns, course trips and guest speakers that will run alongside your course to develop your personal and life skills.
This is a full time course taking place on three full days per week. There will be a mix of practical and theoretical work which are split into two hour lessons. You will have a half an hour break and hour lunch.
Alongside your studies you will also spend one and a half days per week training as part of the Rugby Academy. Matches take place on a Wednesday afternoon and you may be travelling to colleges across the country to represent the College and our Rugby Academy.
Vocational and professional qualifications are taught through college based theory and practical lessons with further learning and understanding developed via directed self-study.
Assessment consists of internally set coursework and assignments, although some professional and vocational qualifications may require the achievement of externally set assessments.
You could progress to a higher education degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or ultimately move into employment in the business sector.
Four or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above, preferably including maths and English, or a Level 2 Diploma in Business.
