You’ll build on these elements using our world-class facilities and learn to develop your research abilities too. Assessment for these degrees will vary dependant on your level of study, and will likely include written work and practical tests, presentations and work-based learning assessments. You may also be required to sit an end-of-year exam, conduct research and write laboratory reports.
Links with Industry
All Sport students at Moulton College have the opportunity to apply their learning during work placements as part of placement modules within the main degree programme. Students are able to take advantage of our strong links with professional sport clubs and companies. Previous students have benefited from placements at Milton Keynes Football Club, Northampton Saints RFC, Northamptonshire Cricket Club and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Outstanding Facilities
Sport students at Moulton College benefit from access to a full range of facilities at a professional and national standard.
Our sports science lab contains equipment for in-depth testing and analysis including VO2max and lactate threshold, and body composition analysis. There is also a sports massage room containing sports massage beds suitable for our sport therapy degrees.

Scholarship Sport Academy Programmes
Alongside your degree you can train full-time on a schedule equivalent to that followed by professional athletes. This schedule will incorporate a minimum of three training sessions, strength and conditioning, video analysis and access to massage and injury clinics. You will be able to compete for a place on teams that compete at national level.
- Our football academy team has been a finalist for the last two seasons, playing at the Hawthorn Stadium, home of West Bromwich Albion FC.
- Our rugby academy has achieved back-to-back promotion in the last two seasons, coached by England Deaf Coach, Phil Powell.
