Moulton College is a diverse and inclusive organisation which seeks to raise standards of education and training, support the skills needs of students and employers and act as a positive force for equality of opportunity within Moulton.
We are proud to announce the signing of the Association of Colleges (AoC), Diversity and Inclusion Charter, pledging to make our college a more inclusive place for Students and Staff.
Moulton College are committed to ensuring that we are a college in which we all feel we belong and can thrive in.
AoCs Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Charter Public Statement
We aim to provide a working and learning environment that acknowledges the richness of diversity and recognises the positive contributions of people of different social backgrounds, cultures, religions, abilities, ages and sexual orientation.
I've found that the College is inclusive and my teachers are open to talk about any concerns or questions that I may have.

Our students and staff have been working together to implement the following across the college.
Come along and join the team!
This coming academic year we will celebrate a number of religious and cultural events in our canteens by providing food to mark different occasions. From Caribbean food to East Asian treats for Lunar New Year and Middle Eastern cuisine for Eid, they’ll be something for everyone.
Our HE students will be able to join a number of online Networks to connect with other students in a safe space to discuss sensitive issues, organise events and feedback to staff.
The Networks will be monitored by staff and we hope it will allow all students to find a safe, supportive space and allow the college to communicate better with all of our students.
There will be a Black Student Network, Disabled Student Network, Female Student Network, Asian Student Network and Mature Student Network.
This is our first year hosting these networks and we hope to adapt and mould the model to suit all of our students moving forward.
Students and staff have worked together to produce Pronoun badges for everyone to wear on their Lanyards. As a student group we helped in the design of the badges for everyone to wear.
Don’t worry if you want to be known by a different name to your birth name –
At Moulton College student services will change your name on your ID badge for you, this can be done by changing just your name or your whole college profile – the choice is yours.
We pride ourselves with being a safe & inclusive college for everyone. To celebrate this a large banner was put up alongside the Construction Services building at Holcot for all to see as they drive in.
To celebrate and show our understanding and commitment to diverse groups across the college, our students and staff proudly carry rainbow coloured umbrellas.
Two of our students from Uniform Public Services helped out at the November open event, and managed to stay dry.
Check out our rainbow lighting to cheer up our residential area at our Moulton site.
Take a seat on our rainbow benches if you need some downtime during a hard day of study. We have several dotted around our different campuses.
Language is a powerful tool for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, however, we all know how difficult it can be to ‘get it right’. This booklet has been produced to give a little guide along the way.
What is Equity?
Equity recognises that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. At Moulton College we will aim to consider all students and staff for who they are.

Enrichment
An opportunity for you to access a range of activities, experiences and awareness beyond the vocational course. The aim is to develop personal, social and employability skills and to enhance the college experience to prepare for life beyond college.
Below is our new enrichment calendar - take a look to see what the college celebrates throughout the academic year.
LGBTQ+ Community
Over the years our LGBTQ+ community have decided to move away from the traditional face to face weekly catch up and now have a dedicated Teams channel to make attending the group even more accessible meaning you can chat to like minded people whenever you wish.
The group is moderated by our very own Student Experience Manager who is committed to ensuring all students feel safe with a sense of belonging whilst at college.
To join, follow the link below and a member of the Student Experience Team will come back to you with further details.
