Ashley, who graduated in 2020, studied his course full-time whilst working part-time as an Animal Welfare Technician at the College.
“I decided to study this degree as I wanted to further my knowledge of today’s conservation challenges, and the things I can do to help preserve our ecosystems. I chose Moulton for its rural environment, and the modules on offer really appealed to my interests. Throughout the course I enjoyed getting involved in discussions and friendly debates, and I really liked being in smaller classes. We had the opportunity to go on a range of trips, collecting data and observing the real world. I’m so grateful to my lecturers, who were committed to spending extra time with me if I needed to understand something better. Their support was invaluable. Since graduating I worked at the College first as an Animal Technician and then as a HE lecturer whilst studying my masters degree part-time. I have now moved to an HE lecturer role at another college."
