Arboriculture Technician

We are looking for an Arboriculture Technician to maintain the equipment and resources and support practical sessions in the area.

The Arboriculture team form part of the Landbased & Equine department, a high performing area and popular choice for students.

Candidates require a minimum of Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Arboriculture and Forestry and should also be trained in the following:

  • Small Fell
  • Access to a tree and aerial rescue
  • First Aid at Work +F

You will:

  • Assist in the preparation of Arboriculture practical teaching lessons
  • Support students undertaking practical activity under the direction of a member of teaching staff
  • Ensure the Arboriculture areas are kept to a high standard.
  • Prepare materials for practical classes.
  • Ensure administrative procedures are completed efficiently, including statutory and internal returns, stock and asset registers.

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • Minimum Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Arboriculture and Forestry
  • Small Fell trained
  • Access to a tree and aerial rescue trained

  • Experience of working in a similar role
