We are looking for a Lecturer in Arboriculture to join our passionate team of Landbased specialists. This popular, exciting and specialised subject area combines a first-class learning experience using our extensive practical facilities on the College estate with off-site industry related projects. The college offers a wide range of short, part time and full-time courses covering every aspect of the forestry and arboriculture industry.
You will:
- Act as a course tutor, providing support with organisation, administration and monitoring of attendance.
- Undertake placement visits and help maintain records of achievement.
- Participate in demonstrations and practical activities with students and trainees.
- Assist in the development of Arboriculture courses.

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
- Experience of working in the Arboriculture industry
- Ability to lead on developing, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality and inclusive learning experiences.
- Level 3 Forestry/Arboriculture/Woodland Management qualification
- QCF Level 2 qualifications in Chainsaw Maintenance, Felling & Processing Trees, and Accessing trees using a rope and harness.
- Teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
- Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
