Lecturer - Brickwork

We are seeking an innovative, experienced and self-motivated individual to make a significant contribution to a team of staff delivering courses to our Construction students. Utilising your skills and experience you will train and develop our students in their construction trade skills.

You'll be working across a varied curriculum in Construction and you will support a number of full time and part time students to achieve their full potential. There is a lot of potential to grow this area of the curriculum and you will play a vital role in ensuring the College is best placed to serve the needs of industry and our students.

Duties will include the teaching and training of students and other client groups to quality standards set by the college, tutoring and management of one or more courses or groups of students, along with development of construction trades courses. Further requirements of this role will be to participate in internal verification, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service.

You will have a genuine passion for high quality trades provision and the latest developments in the sector. You will need to hold a Level 3 trade qualification and ideally have prior experience of teaching in a college setting. You will also hold or be prepared to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) and assessor qualification, have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing CPD.
