Lecturer/Skills Coach - Stonemasonry

This is a great role offering the opportunity to teach and assess students across our apprenticeship, full time, part time and short courses. Delivery will be a mix of practical and theory based sessions and you will also regularly assess apprentices in the workplace. You will also contribute to the development of our courses and ensure our sessions are relevant to current best practice and develop students with skills that are required in the modern world.

You will have a genuine passion for supporting students to develop new skills and confidence in their own ability. You will need to hold a Level 3 Stonemasonry (or similar) qualification to deliver on our full range of courses and ideally you will have had previous teaching experience or alternatively be able to demonstrate a number of years of trade based experience. Training can be provided to develop your teaching skills. You will also hold or be prepared to work towards and achieve a formal teaching qualification and assessor qualification. You will have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing CPD. You must also have a genuine commitment to high standards of work place safety and recognise the value of good health and safety practice. In addition, you may also hold an assessor qualification or be willing to work towards achieving it.

We help new employees settle in through central College induction events and local induction activities. We also provide a range of essential information through our online learning packages. These cover various topics including Equality, Safeguarding, Health & Safety at Work, to name a few.
